Use BiOS from Claude on the web

Works today

claude.ai and the Claude mobile apps connect to BiOS through our hosted connector. Add one address in settings, sign in with your BiOS account, and every tool from dataset upload to deployment is available in your chats. Nothing to install, no API key to paste.

Before you start

You need a BiOS account, and that is it. The connector signs you in from the app, so there is no API key to copy and nothing to install. Create a free account if you do not have one yet.

Setup

Open the connectors settings
In claude.ai, open Settings, go to Connectors, and click "Add custom connector".

Paste the connector address
Enter this address and confirm:

Claude Desktop and Claude Code accept the same address, or you can keep the local npx setup from their guides. Both paths reach the same tools.

Sign in and approve
A BiOS sign-in page opens. Log in, choose the workspace you want to connect, pick a permission level (Read only, Training, or Full access), and click Approve. You land back in Claude with the connection live.

Enable it in a chat
Start a chat and turn on the BiOS connector from the tools menu. Then ask for what you need in plain English; Claude requests your approval before each tool call.

Check that it works

The connector shows as Connected under Settings, Connectors.
Ask "What is my BiOS wallet balance?" in a new chat with the connector enabled. Claude should call the wallet tool and answer with a number.

Troubleshooting

The sign-in page says the connection request has expired

Connection requests are short-lived. Go back to claude.ai and connect again; the fresh request opens a new sign-in page.

The tools work, but on the wrong workspace

Disconnect the connector under Settings, Connectors, then add it again and choose the workspace you want on the approval page.

Tool calls fail with a permission error

The connection was approved with a lower permission level than the task needs. Disconnect and reconnect, then pick Training or Full access on the approval page.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an API key?

No. The connector uses your regular BiOS sign-in through OAuth, so there is no key to create or paste. You approve the connection once and can disconnect it any time from the connector settings.

Does this work in the Claude mobile apps?

Yes. Connectors added to your Claude account are available in the mobile apps too, with the same workspace and permission level you approved.

What about Claude Desktop and Claude Code?

Both work with the same hosted address, and both can also run the local npx setup if you prefer to keep everything on your machine. See the Claude Desktop and Claude Code guides for the local path.

Can Claude spend money without asking?

Claude asks before each tool call by default, and the connection only has the permission level you approved. Tools that create training jobs or deployments spend from your wallet, so keep Read only if you just want to browse.
